Health Advice Media, LLC has created this E-mail Policy to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy and dedication to sending e-mail communications only to those who have specifically requested such information.  Please read this E-mail Policy carefully before using our website(s), signing up for any free or paid subscription newsletter service, or submitting any personal information to us. 

Health Advice Media is a health and wellness content publisher.  We offer paid subscriptions, trial subscriptions, and free newsletters to our users.

Paid Subscription Newsletters

We sell subscriptions to our paid subscription newsletters through our website(s). Users respond to our advertisements and visit our website(s) to subscribe to our newsletters.  Paid subscription newsletters are delivered through our web site, by e-mail, and by postal mail.  We deliver the newsletters and provide subscribers notices regarding the status of their subscription and information regarding our services by e-mail.

Newsletter Trials

We offer free, 30-day trial subscriptions to our newsletters.  We deliver the newsletters and provide users notices regarding the status of their subscription and information regarding our services by e-mail during the trial period.  At the end of a trial period, we continue to provide users our free weekly e-mail newsletter and information regarding our other products and services and those of our partners and advertisers.  If you do not wish to receive future e-mails following the trial period, you should follow the instructions within this E-mail Policy or within a specific e-mail communication from us to remove your e-mail address.

Free Newsletters

We also offer free e-mail newsletters, which we make available to individuals in several manners.  Users can visit our web site, complete an online form, and agree to receive our free e-mail newsletter(s).  We also offer our free newsletters through our partners' websites and websites where we advertise.  If you register for a trial subscription to one of our newsletters, you will receive a subscription to our free newsletter(s) at the end of your trial period if they do not sign up for a paid subscription.  We provide paid subscribers who do not renew their paid subscription with a subscription to our free newsletter(s) at the end of their paid subscription period.  Users who do not wish to receive future issues of free newsletters by e-mail following a paid subscription should follow the instructions within this E-mail Policy or within a specific e-mail communication from us to remove your e-mail address.

E-mail Advertisements

We send e-mail advertisements about our products and services to all our current paid and free trial subscribers, and subscribers to our free e-mail newsletters.  We send e-mail advertisements only to users of our website(s) that have directly requested information from us or that otherwise have or had in the past a direct relationship with us.

WE ALLOW ANY CURRENT OR FORMER SUBSCRIBER, TRIAL SUBSCRIBER, OR RECIPIENT OF A FREE E-MAIL NEWSLETTER FROM US TO CHOOSE TO DISCONTINUE RECEIVING E-MAIL MESSAGES FROM US AT ANY TIME.  See “Discontinuing E-mails from Us” below.

Third Party E-mail Advertising

We occasionally advertise via e-mail with qualified third parties that we believe are managing their e-mail database(s) of subscribers in accordance with CAN-SPAM legislation and best industry practices.  When we advertise by e-mail through a third party, we do so in accordance with the following:

  1. The advertisement is sent only to users who have agreed to receive ADVERTISEMENTS or SPECIAL OFFER e-mails from the third party list owner.

  2. The advertisement is sent from the third party owning the e-mail list.

  3. The advertisement is clearly marked as an ADVERTISEMENT or SPECIAL OFFER.

  4. The third party managing the e-mail list has clear instructions and a mechanism in place for prompt removal from their e-mail list.

  5. Our contact information is made available so that recipients can contact us and instruct us not to send future advertisements.

  6. We instruct the third party sending the advertisement on our behalf to compare our Do Not Mail list against the third party's e-mail list to assure that those e-mail addresses that are on our Do Not Mail list do not receive unwanted advertisements or offers from us.

We occasionally send e-mail advertisements and offers to our users or subscribers on behalf of third party advertisers or agencies acting on their behalf, in accordance with CAN-SPAM legislation and best industry practices.  PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION OF USERS OR SUBSCRIBERS WILL NOT BE SOLD TO A THIRD PARTY ADVERTISER.  However, as part of this advertising program, we will provide the advertiser with the information required to provided requested products and services to users.  This information includes, but is not limited to name, mailing address, e-mail address, and phone number.  Under no circumstance will we provide any credit card information to an advertiser or partner. When we send an advertisement or special offer on behalf of a third party, we do so in accordance with the following:

  1. The advertisement is sent only to users who have agreed to receive ADVERTISEMENTS or SPECIAL OFFER e-mails from us.

  2. The advertisement is sent from Health Advice Media or the specific newsletter to which the recipient is subscribed.

  3. The advertisement is clearly marked as an ADVERTISEMENT or SPECIAL OFFER.

  4. There are clear instructions and mechanisms in place for prompt removal from the e-mail list.

  5. Our contact information is made available so that recipients can contact us and instruct us not to send future advertisements.

  6. We request that advertisers provide us with a “Do Not Mail” list to be compared against our Do Not Mail list prior to sending an advertisement to assure that those who have requested not to receive information from the third party advertiser do not receive unwanted advertisements or offers from us.

Discontinuing E-mails from Us

In accordance with CAN-SPAM legislation, it is our policy to include instructions and mechanisms for removal from our e-mail list..  We provide instructions for removal at the bottom of every e-mail we send, with the exception of paid subscription newsletters.  Subscriber to paid subscription newsletters must contact us to cancel their.

At the bottom of each e-mail communication, we include detailed instructions to remove your e-mail address from our e-mail lists, including:

  1. Displaying the recipient's e-mail address that is in our e-mail list database.

  2. Providing a customized URL that allows the recipient to access our website(s) and automatically manage their subscriptions, including canceling all e-mail subscriptions or selecting to receive no further e-mails from us.

  3. An active e-mail address to contact us to request manual removal or to discontinue future e-mail communications from us.

  4. A mailing address for sending a removal request to us by mail.

Our website(s) allow subscribers to manage their subscriptions, including:

  1. Selecting to discontinue a subscription.

  2. Selecting to be put on our Do Not Mail List.

We maintain a DO NOT MAIL LIST of subscribers who have elected not to receive further e-mail communications from us.  These e-mail addresses are collected and maintained in a separate file in our database.  E-mail addresses on our DO NOT MAIL LIST will not receive future e-mails from us, including free e-mail newsletters, advertisements directly from us, or advertisements from third party advertisers sent on our behalf.  Users are encouraged to make sure that the address receiving e-mails from us is in fact the same address in our database by clicking the unique URL at the end of an e-mail message from us, or forwarding the unwanted e-mail communication to our customer service department so we can determine the correct e-mail address to remove.
